Drama Review: Heirs

Ok, before anyone keeps reading, this may be offensive, so if you were in love with Heirs, don’t read this. Also: this contains spoilers so…..that kindda speaks for itself :P

Plot Summary: (Since I didn't like the drama, this may seem a little...well, you get the idea.) Basically two high schoolers "fall in love" but their parents (mostly parent) do not approve so they spend a good 18.5 episodes to make their relationship work out. This is then followed by one episode of which Tan (the male lead) and his brother fight to keep his father's company from their evil step-mother (why is it always the step-mother?) from trying to steal it.

My Opinion: Ok, as much as I like Lee Minho and Park Shin Hye, I really did not enjoy this drama at all. In all honesty, it was kindda stupid. Now before you say “It’s a drama.” not all drama’s have to be pointless. I mean, Heirs started out with such a great plot. I loved the concept and I thought it was going to be about underdogs building up to the top but this was honestly one of the worst dramas I have ever seen. First off, what is with Eun Sung’s sister? I feel like she was just an excuse to start off Eun Sang’s love story with Tan which actually ended up taking over the entire show and was the plot for about 18.5 episodes.
This drama barely talked about company issues and the “war” that was “suppose to happen” between Tan and his brother. Although I do like the side stories of all the other side characters, the main plot was not about The Inheritors, it was about 2 kids in high school who can’t stand being separated.
To be honest, I'm not interested in the love lives of the two. I wanted to see Tan at his weakest with almost losing the company, I wanted to see his mother try to escape the label of being a mistress to being his dad's wife, and I wanted to see his brother try to piece his love life together (because it was a lot more interesting and more mature than his). But I think the saddest moment in this entire drama was when Eun Sung disappeared and Lee Minho was crying. Which I guess just shows how fluffy this drama actually is.
ANYWAYS, if you're not interested in something that is as cute as Playful Kiss but has the concept of the girl and the guy feeling like their gonna die if they're ever separated, I suggest you don't waste your time on this drama because I certainly wish I didn't waste my time.
